Hello friends! I’m back this week with another one pan wonder. Another favorite chicken recipe. Another meal you should add to your menu ASAP. I present to you the One Pan Creamy Basil Chicken Pasta! And omg it’s beyond good!
I was scrambling to find something to make before Game of Thrones and just threw what I had in the fridge together to make a quick meal. And thankfully this was one of those meals that just worked. I was able to have the meal ready, be sitting down and enjoy it with plenty of time before GoT started. And yes, I am an uber nerd and LOVE GoT. And I won’t spoil this week’s episode but OMG!!!!!! This show never disappoints!
And yes, I’m still going by the theory that R+L = J. And if you don’t know what that means and are a fan, you have been warned to not google it if you don’t like spoilers!!
So if you are looking for an easy week night (or pre-Game of Thrones) dinner, then please try this one! I promise you won’t be disappointed! It also makes great leftovers as Tai can tell you 😉

One Pan Creamy Basil Chicken Pasta
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken Thighs
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 Tsp Minced Garlic
- 2 Tbsp Oil
- 8 Oz Chicken Stock
- 6 Oz Water
- 1/2 Cup Cream
- 8 Oz Linguine
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Basil
Instructions
- Pat dry and season chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet on medium-high and add cooking oil. Place chicken thighs in pan skin side down.
- Cook chicken until skin is golden brown then turn and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add chicken stock, water, cream, pasta, garlic and basil to pan. Let simmer, stirring occasionally until pasta is cooked through and sauce has thickened. Remove from heat and enjoy!
So yummy looking! How can you go wrong with chicken, basil, and cream?
I know, right?!
You never mention when to put the garlic in
Good catch! I’ve updated the recipe. The garlic will go in when you add the basil 🙂

wasn’t sure about adding the raw pasta, maybe i added too much had to add extra water.
