We finally did it. Three months of searching, a few false leads and we finally had an apartment of our own. No more roommates, no more waiting to use the bathroom in the morning, no more cleaning someone else’s dirty dishes, no more wondering if your favorite sweater was left at the boyfriend’s apartment. Overall our lives have become much better and simpler. But probably the largest improvement was the kitchen.
Before we had never planned which apartment we’d be staying at throughout the week, which led to never having fresh groceries because the food would often go bad before we could even think of cooking it. Seamless and the “B” letter grade Chinese place on the corner became our go to, and along with that came about 30 pounds of unwanted weight gain.
So our new plan?
Cook as much as we can. Eat healthy. Don’t break the bank. Blog about it.
Here’s to the start of something new!
