After traveling for most of the month of May and getting through the dreaded end of the month deadline at work, I am finally home and able to relax. The best part about being home is that I can get to the kitchen and begin cooking more. I really missed cooking last month and I’m definitely sure Tai missed it even more than me! Today I have a special post brought to you by Ragú. Ragú recently launched a new line of homestyle sauces and this is perfect timing because the idea of these sauces totally reflect my current mood.
For Tai and myself, homestyle means cooking together in our tiny NYC kitchen. It means experimenting a little bit in the kitchen but all the while having fun and spending time with each other. We’ve been realizing recently that we spend more time at work or in transit than we do with each other and unfortunately those moments apart are only going to increase right now. So being together in the kitchen and creating a really great meal to share together is our “homestyle” and boy have I missed it!
One of the many things that I noticed about Ragú’s Homestyle Pasta Sauce is how fresh it tastes. There are NO artificial colors or flavors and NO preservatives. It is so refreshing to be able to actually read the ingredients list and recognize every ingredient as an actual vegetable instead of chemicals. The sauce is thick and hearty which paired so well with gnocchi. Tai has already asked when we can make this again and I am soooo ready to repeat it!
I used the Thick and Hearty Roasted Garlic Sauce for my pasta but Ragú has 4 other great flavors in this line. Though I was unable to find it at my local grocery store (a very small mom and pop type place) I was able to find every flavor at Target, which is the largest national retailer carrying the product. It was located right in the pasta aisle and I was able to buy all of the ingredients for this dish right at Target!
